In this project, we will develop novel molecules that target cyclin dependent kinase subunit-1 (CKS1), a high potential target for the treatment of cancer. This interdisciplinary project is ideally suited to a candidate interested in medicinal chemistry and organic synthesis, and will span these areas through to the testing of lead candidates in cell lines, primary mouse disease models, and gold standard patient-derived xenografts.
