Research Assistant in the Centre for Developmental Neurobiology
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Research Assistant to join the Pellegrini Lab at the Centre for Developmental Neurobiology. The research group focuses on brain development using 3D human cerebral and choroid plexus organoids with cerebrospinal fluid.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Neuroscience, or a related field, and some experience in laboratory work, including cell culture techniques. They should have excellent organisational skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team. The candidate should be able to follow established protocols and troubleshoot experimental issues, as well as maintain accurate records of their work. This post is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic graduate or equivalent and is also suitable for those who aspire to pursue further training or studies.
The Pellegrini Lab is a collaborative research group that focuses on understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying brain development using 3D human cerebral and choroid plexus organoids. The Centre for Developmental Neurobiology is a leading research centre located in the heart of London, dedicated to studying the development and function of the nervous system.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal Investigator, Dr. Laura Pellegrini, and other members of the lab. They will have the opportunity to learn new techniques and skills, and to contribute to ongoing research projects. They will also have access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources, and will be encouraged to present their research at internal meetings and seminars.
